OVERVIEW

This idea had been lingering in my mind for far too long: a simple animation featuring the 3D model of these exact headphones I created over a decade ago. The concept was straightforward—use Cinema 4D's MoGraph to "mess up" the headphones as much as possible in the shortest amount of time, synchronized to music, of course.

Thanks to C4D's tools, setting up the basic animations was relatively easy. I started with the cable, making it wiggle and shake to the music, with different frequencies driving distinct effects. The entire scene was suspended in zero gravity to allow for free movement without collisions. While the cable moved dynamically, I deliberately avoided making the headphones shake or wiggle to prevent an overly chaotic look.

A subtle spin was added to emulate frictionless motion in zero gravity, though this detail is hard to notice amidst all the cuts.

The project evolved significantly from initial concept, especially in terms of lighting and colour.
